We sold our house in 6 days, and had to move shortly after that (wow) All of our belongings are in storage (yikes) We are living with my mom while our next house is going through the SHORT sale (nothing short about it!!!) This trip brought us many laughs! of course Kash and Kate were very funny, but not much tops the photographer hired by sea world to follow families around to capture all of their moments! this guy was nuts... he would jump around taking pictures and giving the families the thumbs up, taking massive amounts of pictures, he would even take pictures of the trainers, and give them high fives. Who knew the camera man would be the attraction of sea world, sorry to the photo guy now you are on my blog in front of the camera, thanks for the laughs!!! Not much can top off the day like the next guy that we watched sitting in the front row of shamu (in the splash zone) bellied up to a tray of fries, a hamburger in one hand, and a coke in the other with no lid that cost him 30 dollars! Thanks to him I shed tears on this trip (and not the sad ones) watching him wave his hamburger in the air in excitement the first time shamu came out, to eating his salt water soaked hamburger to the very end! every time shamu came by he was the target! it was GREAT even the trainer was laughing, thanks everyone for the entertainment!

We had a great hotel! Breakfast every morning, anything you could think of to eat!, great room, fireworks every night that we watched from the beach, and fire pits outdoor seating it really made every evening enjoyable!

This day was hmmm... a disaster. I discovered that I might be a little claustrophobic??? so the tour made me sweat a little. Kate fell on the deck, and Kash fell shortly after that, Andy tried to make the day fun, but we did give up! We were the people that you spend time looking at while you are people watching, and thinking what is wrong with this family!

Notice that there are no pictures of us on a sunny beach :( I REALLY wanted to go in the summer so we could go to the beach, but not much luck with that.... it was the coldest temperatures on record since 1978, but oh well it was nice to wait for the shows at sea world, and not be dying of heat, and I'm so thankful that we could go on vacation, and have a little getaway!!! Just so you know San Diego next time we visit, you owe us a beach day!

Can I just say... I can not remember a time that I have had to wear a coat to watch the fireworks, it was so cold this year, it kinda puts a damper on things when its cold in July??? I also want to mention that weather plays a big part in my mood, I wish I could roll with the punches since I cant control the weather, but it really has a way at getting at me...

We took the jeep on an all day tour of American Fork canyon, and we had a great day!!! I love having the jeep our whole family has found something that we can enjoy together,(did I mention I LOVE it) the kids had a great day, and that makes me the most happy :D

Moab... that is the only thing Kash wanted for a present, and in luau of a party, Kash is so grown up I wonder if he will ever want a party, or toys??? so at the moment we could not take off to Moab, so we are going in the fall, but we had a little family party in the meantime! I think Kash is going to be a great adult, he just has this meantime of being a kid (kinda) he is so cute, and we love him so much!!! I can not believe that he is 5 WOW!

Kash loves to eat at the roadhouse, so this is where he wanted to go for his birthday! He loves steak, loud music, and the girls dancing, and he could not wait to get on the saddle for his birhtday, he thinks it great, he was so cute the whole night! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOODLEBUG!

OH NO! I cant find the video! OH WELL she did most of her dancing in her teachers arms, but it was cute, and she did go out there, she is also the youngest in the dance studio, so next year should be a little easier!!! After the dance Andy Kash, and I went running to find her, thinking we would find her in tears, but she could not have been happier (which made me happy!!!) Her teachers do a great job, so a BIG thank you to them, and to everyone that came to see her THANK YOU! We love you Kate! GREAT JOB!!!

This is the face of a scared Kate! Saturday was her dance program! None of us thought that she would do it, because she was so wigged out that day, but she did, and it was great! After the performance we went to get her from her teacher, and she can see us all the way down the hall, she is yelling I DANCED DAD, I DANCED MOM, I DANCED BROTHER!!! she was so excited, it will be a great memory! Marley/Kash

If you have seen Marley and Me you will recognize this story! Kash is crazy when there is a thunderstorm! If it starts to thunder this house is turned up side down, he hates it, and he has for years, and god forbid it starts to thunder at night, we know we will get no sleep until the thunder has stopped... I feel like the babysitter on Marley and Me, but I cant leave as soon as Kashs owner comes home! So dad decided to put a stop to this and take Kash outside while it thunders to see that nothing can happen, so we will see if it worked by the next storm, and if not I'm going to get sedatives, but I don't know if I will give them to Kash or myself! If you have not seen Marley and Me you must, and think of us!!!

This was our ONLY trip we will be making to the zoo this year... It was fun! but I'm not going to go when it is hot it is a waste of time... none of the animals like the heat, so its much better in the spring we saw all the animals, and we did not have a heat stroke while we were there!

I will keep going until I'm caught up! but I have a few things to tell, before I forget! First WOW we need a new family picture, so put that on the long to do list... Second Kash had his five year old check up today, and it was crazy so I want to blog about this so I can read it to him one day!
The nurse asked him to pee in a cup when he got there, he had never done this, so he says to her "What do you want me to do?" so we go to pee in the cup and he want to know if he has to fill the thing up, I said no but he did anyways, so he is carrying it back to the nurse under his shirt behind his back and he say "I do not want anyone to see my pee" he is full of questions during this appointment I wish I could have recorded it. They prick his finger next for a blood sample and he says to the nurse "ooh you are making me see my blood!" Last of all time for shots, and he is going crazy yelling at the nurse "why would you do this to me? why? why? why?" Leave it to Kash to make this an appointment to remember! As we are walking out the doctor says to him "You were brave, so now you are ready for kindergarten" Kash said to me "is this what you have to do for kindergarten, I will just stay in preschool mom!" I'M OK with that never grow up you are just to cute, and we love you!

Easter in Montana??? Luckily we love Grandpa so much that we haul off to the snow, and COLD for Easter, Kash really enjoyed the trip and I really love that small town, Grandpa does a great job with the annual Easter egg hunt, so we will see about next year? or maybe we could just move Easter to August, so they can wear the cute Easter outfits and dresses! Thanks for having us up to Pony Grandpa, and thank you to the Easter bunny for freezing his tail off to find us!

The story of our dog... So I bought a dog, my kids suckered me into it! and then my dog suckered my mom and Rod into getting his brother, so now we have 2 puppy's, we must be crazy... so after a few weeks of no sleep, allot of craziness, and a mom crying on the floor (i promise I'm not weak, i just lucked out with kids that sleep, and got a really bad sleeping dog...) my mom suggested that she keep Sammy and train him, since dogs do better together anyways! (she deserves the mom of the year award) so I have the dogs in the days while shes at work, and she has the dogs at night. So far it has been going GREAT, and the dogs have 2 family's to love them, and they have each other to love, and the kids have there mom back!!! So that is the story of Sammy!

Well this Halloween a mom asked her 4 year old what he wanted to be for Halloween, as I prepared myself for any answer (because he is so creative...) his answer totally surprised me... he said NOTHING, he did not want to be anything, I was shocked, so I asked him why, so he replies that last year HIS costume scared him! so we collectively came up with him being a cowboy, because he really did not have to be dressed up... so that worked, and as for Kate she really cant talk, so mom took the easy route made her a tutu, and made her into a black cat! (so cute, and she loved the tutu!)

Love the picture of the rhino Kash looks just like him with his hair spiked up! This was the first time Kate had been to zoo when she could do more than just sit in the stroller, and she loved it, she just loves animals, so it was fun to see her reaction to the whole thing!

This is an epic picture, so it had to be posted! For those of you who do not know this is a picture of Kates uncle Austin, and they are holding hands, you may thing no big deal, but it is! Kate is not a fan of Austin, so she must have really wanted to go on a "nature walk" that day, because we caught her hand in hand!

To bad it did not last, because the very next weekend she was right back to where they began with not so much love for Austin :( (just a little side note she is the only one who does not like Austin, but I'm sure she will come around!

So I have been to many parades this summer, and I can say that Blandings parade tops them all! They have water firetrucks spread throughout the parade, so you spend a fair amount of time getting wet, which is perfect you are not sitting there getting hot, and what kid does not love to get wet!!!

Today has been a busy day! Kash started the day at summer camps which start at 9:00 and anyone who knows us knows that is a challenge, Kash, Kate and I are not morning people! Then off to last day of swim lessons, home to lunch and nap before Mady, Gaby and Halle come to watch the kids while Amy and I take a tour of the new temple, return from the temple to start fondue for my mom, Rod, Tannen, and I throw on some mac and cheese and a movie for the kids, because the fondue has allot of preparation! after dinner I cut Tannens hair while my mom, and Rod were still here to watch the kids! The topping on this cake of a day is, I talked my 20 year old brother who is no where near settling down to have kids to bath my kids! (I mostly just wanted to see if I could talk him into it!) The kids had fun with a new person on the job! Tannen leaves, I put the kids to bed I asked Kash what the best part of his day was? it was not school, swim lessons, cousin playtime, grandmas for dinner, or uncle Tannens giving baths... Give up? it was MAC AND CHEESE, yes the 99 cent mac and cheese was the best part of Kashs day, if I had known that this day could have been real simple :D I love you Kash!!!

I just want to thank Mrs. Jennifer for giving my already loud son a whistle, I'm about to go out of my mind... They are learning stranger danger for a summer camp, so Mrs. Jennifer gave away whistles to the class to blow in case a stranger is near. Apparently Kate and I are strangers because that whistle has not stopped, and he also thinks he is a lifeguard now, and Kate and I are always in trouble, that whistle is always blowing... Kate has now also learned how to use the whistle YAY! So with toys unlimited this is the toy that is staying strong, I finally had to take it away and that was the biggest meltdown I have seen from Kash (so far), and then Kate starts to cry :(

He is moving out! After a long day of fighting and some not so Kind words for his mom Kash decided he was moving to grandmas, and I decided that is not such a bad idea she is only 2 miles away, so we packed everything that we could fit in the suitcase, got dressed, put on a coat, (all of which there was no help from me) and Kash was headed out the door! there were some problems his suitcase was real heavy, and there was a storm brewing, so the wind was really blowing, Kash was having a heck of a time. At that point he was mad at the world, when in walked dad so the tension was lifted, and Kash decided to stay to live with us! The next morning on Kashs still packed suitcase there was a note from dad thanking him for staying and telling him how much we love him!

The evening of mothers day we went to aunt Amys house for cake and ice cream and Kate had a too cute not to post picture! Halle and Gabby decided to treat us to a fashion show, Gabby had done Halles makeup, and then she was on to Kash, who would have none of it, and thought they were crazy, I think after all of the doll time and playing with stroller, Gabby and Halle owe Kash some truck playing time!!!

Mothers day was great, other than Kate being sick and missing most of the day... but My mom Rod Tannen, and I went to brunch it was great, we had already decided prior to Kate being sick that the kids would stay home, because Kate is such a monster to eat with. We have also decided after many attempts that Kate will no longer be attending any restaurants (great for our waistlines!) we are having to leave great tips to put up with us, and clean up after us!!! I did miss the kids at brunch but my family probably did not, or the restaurant, and I'm not talking about Kash...

Everyone wants to know why we go to Ferron, and Kash will give you a great answer, he LOVES it! Aunt Amy and her family have a place down there, so Curt and Amy were having a crazy moment and decided to let us go down with them for the weekend, and we had a great time, I think that Kash loves to play with his cousins, and down there they can run around doing what they please playing their hearts out, on this trip we also went to the dinosaur museum in Price, and Halle was relived when we arrived in Price to find the dinosaur's were dead! We had a great time thank you to the Bowdens for letting us crazies visit :D

We had a great vacation Kash thought that Vegas was "fantastic" we visited all of the sites the day that we arrived, the next day we just went swimming at the pool the kids had a great day, and then off for more driving to get to Disneyland! On Kash's birthday we went to Disneyland and my sister Carley went with us Disneyland really makes the birthdays special, and my mom got Kash a great birthday shirt (which he wants to wear everyday because its now his un-birthday)just the answer a Disneyland lover will give! The night of Kash's birthday we went to the cheesecake factory the restaurant sang happy birthday to Kash and that made his day, then we returned to Disneyland for some more birthday fun! The next day we traveled to the beach, and the kids had a great time, the beach is more relaxing than Disneyland by far... all and all the whole vacation was great! and a big thank you to my mom for the nice condo, all of the help, and most of all the memories, the kids may forget,but we have great pictures to remind them, and all of us adults have memories that cant be replaced!!! (yay I LOVE Disneyland, but next year is Hawaii aloha!)

Remember a few weeks ago when it seemed like spring it just so happens that I signed Kash up for swim lessons... He loved them and there were only 2 kids in his class, and turns out the teacher was someone that I went to high school with, so swim was a blast I left Kash to the swim teacher while Kate and I went swimming! SO for a short amount of time it was summer to us, nice day outside warm pool inside, and summer clothes, we went all out new towels, new swimsuits, flip flops we were ready for summer, and we had a great time! I'm just wondering what happened to the weather now?????????

The best birthday cake picture ever! Some of you may know this story but Im going to tell anyways... On Kashs first birthday I was so excited for the cake time my first child, his first birthday, and his first cake, BUT Kash being the super clean kid he was did not want to have anything to do with the messy cake, and he started to cry, I was so let down, so Kate having so much fun with her cake was extra special, because I did not get that the first time!

Its my party and I will cry if I want too!!!

Kash continues to surprize us everyday, he says and does alot of things that are great, some that are not so great, but he is always comming up with something! There is one thing that I know that I will not have to worry about him doing... I know that you have all seen kids doing IT at some point in your life, or maybe your own kids do IT, or maybe even you have seen a adult doing IT, but I know there is one person that you will not catch doing IT, and the IT is picking his nose, he will not blow IT he will not wipe IT, if he sees any booggers he starts to dry heave, and if one dares dribble down his face into his mouth he will puke, if he sees anyone elses booogers he gives the same reaction!!! I just had to make this a post so that I can remeber one of the many things that makes Kash... KASH

The melting mood

Usually I do not post much about what Andy and I do, because I kinda keep my blog for the kids.... So I will set the scene at 8:oo at our house is kid bed time, anyone who knows both of our kids just go to bed at eight (yes we know how great it is!) the bed time routine is so standard that on Valentines night instead of going out I decided to do a melting pot style dinner(I had just taken the melting pot cooking class so I was feeling brave!), so we put the kids DOWN, but I think that Kash knew that something was UP, I get our ROMANTIC dinner for two started, and out pops Kash, so of course we took him back to bed, but by now he had seen the spread and really knew that something was UP that he needed to be a part of... after a hour and the first course of trying to get him to bed we gave up, needless to say we could have done dinner at 6 for a party of 4! In case you are wondering Kash loved fondue, and you know that things have changed when the first part of the dinner is frustrating, because your child is interrupting, and by the end you are discussing how much fun the 3 of us are having at our romantic Valentines dinner ;D. I'm thinking of making it a weekly dinner, it is healthy and fun, and Kash ate everything which is amazing for such a picky eater.

Wondering why I still have valentines paper? Well wonder no longer I forgot to post my Valentines day in all the sickness madness!!! We had a great Valentines day we started out the day with gifts, and Kash was HAPPY we gave him the new "miniature gas car" what is what he calls Madagascar (so cute) the day before Valentines Kash and I had stopped to get Andy's gift, and Kash laid his eyes on that new movie, which I had already gotten for him, so he is walking around the store with the new movie promising to be good, to be nice to his sister, anything he could think of, and it was so cute I told him to put the movie back, and he did staring at it all the way out the door I almost bought 2 I felt so bad, but he had a great Valentines morning with his new movie :)

There are no pictures to post, and not much to talk about, unless you would like pictures of the inside of the doctors office which I'm sure most of you have seen, and probably not long ago, and if you cannot remember what one is like you are incredibly lucky!!! I could also post many pictures of me laying on the couch with a box of tissue, and my kids in their PJ's at three in the afternoon, or the kids lying on the couch with buckets close by... This month of February has been the worst month since the day I took the job as a stay at home mom, but we are coming out of it and we are all on antibiotics, so I have been cleaning and sanitizing, oh what fun! Hopefully sometime soon we will have some fun times to talk about, see all of you and talk to you soon!!!

If you read this blog from the bottom up it will tell you our story of christmas, we had a great time in Heber we also went ice skating the day after christmas, but my skills were so bad I could not take any pictures without fear of falling, but boy we had a kodak moment, when my mom took the ice first step and slid right into the rink, as she laid there all bundled not able to get up she says "boy that ice is slick" I could not stop laughing! we also went sledding but we took Andys camera, so I need to get his camera for the pictures of that... Hope everyone is doing well, and had a good christmas we will see you some time in the summer ha ha ha...

Dashing through the snow in our 2 horsed open sliegh... On Christmas eve we took a sliegh ride, and had dinner this was fun Kash had a smile from ear to ear the entire time, Kate and daddy stayed home from the sleigh ride because it was just to cold, but they did meet us for dinner, and after that it was time for bed for Santa to come!!!

Mr Conductor

Kash was excited when Mrs. Claus came through the train, so that she could tell Santa what Kash wanted, then the train conductor was coming to stamp the tickets, but also at the same time Santa had made his merry way to us, at the same time it was time to get his ticket stamped by the conductor, Santa was also there so like most kids would prefer the conductor moved so that Kash could talk to Santa, at that moment we had a breakdown, Kash was crushed he cried for the conductor, and Santa was in shock (maybe that is why despite Kash not being so good before Christmas Santa decided to leave a great gift anyways, so he could earn his way into Kashs heart), but after all of that the conductor made his way to Kash, and they had a great conversation about trains! Kate did not care for Santa or Mrs. Claus either, she was in love with the elf's. Santa not so popular that night...
